Head to the hostel where you’ll meet your tour leader and the rest of your group and spend the evening in the nation’s capital before transferring to the Cikananga Wildlife Centre. There, you’ll witness the conservationist’s efforts to rehabilitate rescued animals including orangutans, bears and leopards. You’ll even have the chance to support the centre’s founder prepare enriching activities whilst hearing his amazing story from smuggler to saviour. We’ll also get a flavour of local-life with a home-stay experience too.
Next up, we’ll explore some of Yogyakarta’s most famous temples and palaces, including Borobudur and Prambanan Temple. We’ll also dive into another part of the culture with a fascinating discussion, at a mosque, with a local preacher.
Make your way to Mt. Bromo and enjoy the stunning surroundings of this incredible area. Travel across the sand and hike up to the edge of the crater for some amazing views. You’ll also get to pay a visit to the surreal Madakaripura waterfall. If you didn’t fancy a paddle there, then make sure you’ve got your trunks on for the next activity, as we board a boat ride to the majestic Menjangan island and snorkel through incredible coral.
Then we’ll make our way to Canggu, surf is famous in these parts so grab a board and become a master of the waves – or simply opt to relax on the beautiful streches of sand. Here is also a great spot for checking out Indonesia’s most famous beach parties.
Head to the cultural heart of Bali! Visit the Monkey Forest and Royal Palace, before treating your tastebuds to local delicacies at the markets. Hike to Tukad Cepung waterfall and pay a visit to the famous Tegallang Rice Terraces. Immerse yourself in in the local culture with a Balinese cooking class and marvel at the visually striking Ubud Fire Kecek dance show.
Go snorkelling off the shore of Amed beach and experience the beautiful reefs and marine life. After hop on the ferry to Gili Trawangan, and prepare for ultimate rejuvenation on spectacular white sand beaches! Hire a bike and explore the island, and crack open a cold one at a local bar.
